The film is a follow-up to Kvedaravicius’ 2016 doc Mariupolis, which followed the lives of everyday citizens in Mariupol as the threat of war with Russia escalated.
As Hope's sexual life steams up, her work as an ER doctor takes a turn for the worse when an abusive husband of a battered patient blames her for his misgivings. Soon, Hope's personal life becomes entangled with her work life, putting both at risk.—AndreaPomMom
