Juan, a prison officer, silently observes the visit every Sunday of Berta, mother of one of the imates. The day he finally approaches her, he surprises himself by pretending to be another visiting father and inventing a daughter inside the jail: Josefina. The need to fill the vacuum of their lives prompts Juan and Berta to continue meeting outside the reality around them.

切尼本人是一个充满争议的矛盾体。他一直都是保守党派，曾为尼克松、福特、老布什政府做过幕僚，后进入哈利伯顿公司当了几年CEO，然后和小布什一起入主白宫；但他对于同性恋婚姻却持支持态度，因为他的女儿是一名女同性恋...
